Alternative treatments for cancer are not given a fair hearing. Information is still actively repressed or marginalised from many sources. But for true patient advocacy to happen, medical consumers presently need to be at least as, if not better informed than their medical doctors.

There are many options in cancer treatment that are not generally discussed through orthodox medicine. The different philosophies of 'medicalism' and 'holism' - which puts people central to their treatment - are still far apart. This is not a situation that is in any way advantageous for those of us who become patients.

Alternative approaches are viewed at best as unproven and are unresearchable using 'quantitative research methodologies'. There are many people wanting a more integrated approach to health care than drugs and surgery promoted by orthodox allopathic medicine. This is shown by huge number of people who seek complementary and alternative medicines without knowledge of their doctors. The main research into treatments that address every aspect of disease and patient still takes place in secret because practices that fall outside of standard medical practice and physicians who offer unconventional cancer treatments may be vulnerable to civil charge of malpractice. Given modern quantum sciences and other feasible medical models such as those mentioned there are many more realistic options for treatment than we are presently being offered.

It is easy to be overwhelmed in this field, different people giving different information, which you may need to find, understand and act upon, often 'against clock'. What is needed is an overview that presents comprehensive information from wide sources in an objective manner.

Traditional research methodology, or 'quantitative research' is central to science and other methodologies are not usually acceptable. 'Qualitative research' is equally, if not more important at present time in reference to cancer. Other medical systems, such as Chinese or Ayurvedic medicine, Homeopathy or Naturopathy use far subtler tools in both diagnosis and treatment. They are based on seeing patient as a whole being and often use multiple interventions on several levels, simultaneously in treatment of dis-ease. Because they work at level of an individual patient, and from a different philosophy of medicine, it is almost impossible to analyse them with tools of reductionist science.

Our present rash of immune attacking diseases calls for a different kind of response than just drugs and surgery. A new medicine that combines established scientific excellence with traditional, alternative and natural treatments is needed. One that recognises humans as feeling, vibrant, energetic, spiritual beings as well as physical and mental. There are dramatic developments in treatment of cancer using energy systems, but information on this is actually suppressed. From an energy point of view, when human body is weak or unbalanced it oscillates at different frequencies than when it is healthy. This less harmonious frequency shows a state of cellular, energetic imbalance in body. The physical body that is weakened in this way often needs help to shift to needed frequency, which strengthens immune system.

Some experienced medical doctors can make an intuitive diagnosis based on experience and can sometimes tell in a second or so what ails their patient. Posture, skin condition, nail, teeth and tongue all give clues, but experienced doctors may also intuitively pick up clues about their patients from energy and vibrational levels in a similar way to a gardener tending plants or a wild animal hunting its prey.
