Why brush your dog?

Mats in coat are main reason! Mats can be uncomfortable, and can cause destruction of skin, and parasites can hide in mats.

If your dog scratches matted areas, he will pull his skin, which will cause him to hurt and possibly bruise his skin - ouch! Help your dog stay comfortable by brushing him often. Remember longer coat more brushing that will be necessary. If you can not remove mats by brushing, you can clip mats very carefully by using a blunt pair of scissors and being careful not to pull skin. The most important thing to remember is to brush often so your dog will not get mats in his coat and this problem will disappear.

Your dog will soon begin to enjoy his bath time and quality time with you. You will be able to keep a happy and healthy dog for a long time. You will enjoy bath time with your dog as you see him enjoying attention and attitude after he is clean and shiny... Just make sure you dry him well, and don't let him outside as he may roll in anything he can to get his preferred 'smell' back!

There are other types of flea control that have also proven to be very effective. For example, there is a sort of spot-on type of flea control that is easily applied to dog’s skin. Usually these types of flea control are effective for a month or more, however, they usually only affect adult fleas. It might be a good idea to get an egg stopper collar, which works to kill flea eggs. That way, you’ll kill both adult fleas and flea eggs, eliminating your dog’s flea problem.

If none of these treatments work for effective flea control, however, you should definitely talk to you vet. Your veterinarian may be able to recommend some even more effective treatments that aren’t sold over counter.
