Decision PowerWritten by Alan Tutt

But is quantity of information we have available to us only controlling factor in regards to quality of our decisions? No. The strength of our conviction behind decision is also very important to quality of that decision. If we're not really committed to decision that we have just made, then we won't put forward our best efforts to follow through with actions required to implement it. On other hand, if we are willing to move heaven and earth and push through any series of trials that present themselves on our way to following through on our decision, then there is quality in that decision. I'm sure you've had experience with making a decision to change a habit, but ended up giving in to habit and giving up on your decision. We've all done that. You already know that this is not way to handle important decisions of your life. If you really want something, you really have to stand behind your decisions to do what it takes to get it. You know that. But do you do it? Maybe all you need is practice in standing behind your decisions. Many people make little decisions that don't really involved much, except that they involve doing something that they don't really like doing. Like eating a kind of food that doesn't taste good to them, or wearing clothes that don't fit season (heavy, warm clothes in summer; or light, cool clothes in winter), or even stepping outside of their comfort zone in inconsequential situations. This is very good discipline training. In fact, this is exactly where original austerities used by many religions came from. Through this kind of training, mind becomes clear, emotions become stable, and spirit becomes pure. But don't stop with inconsequential decisions in your quest for mental discipline. Start to apply this discipline and make quality decisions that affect long term conditions of your life. Every day you have a choice between doing same old thing or doing something different. If you would like your life to be different than it is now, you now know exactly what you need to do. Learn as much as you can from those who have demonstrated a mastery of subject, then make decisions based on that information and stand behind those decisions and make them happen for you!

6. You want to do it alone or you feel alone on your journey, and you operate that way. Don't ask for help from wrong people. You are setting up your request for failure. Ask for assistance from people who are capable of giving it to you, people who are unattached to outcome. 7. You are either under funded physically, mentally, or financially. You can run a service business with almost no money, yet you will need to make up for it in time. Your time will be money exchange. 8. You spend more than you make no matter how much money your business earns. Do you have a tendency to buy more things because you are making more money? You are sabotaging your own success. Cushions are more important than new things. 9. You keep looking for next piece of information for answer, yet you still haven't used other information accumulated. Stop accumulating. Start integrating what you have into your processes or systems, and then look for new parts to add. 10. You harbor a hidden shadow that if you do sell your services, and it goes well, you will really have to get down and give service. This is a fear of success; it is usually hidden very well. If you even suspect that you fall into one of these, your truthfulness and acknowledgment will determine your future success; you will want to find some support to work through it quickly. These mistakes cost people their business everyday. Even if one is ten percent correct, find what that ten percent is, acknowledge it, find a consultant or coach and solve it. Don't drag it through another year with similar results. Make a choice, be honest, and find a way to change it for last time. Afterwards, lift up your glass in a toast. You deserve it.
