Week four: Just found outrepparttar boss gaverepparttar 117628 new guy at repparttar 117629 office a few of my responsibilities. Great! It takes some work off my plate. Kind of odd, though. Didrepparttar 117630 supervisor forget that that was my area? Didn't he like repparttar 117631 way I was doing it? Is everybody inrepparttar 117632 office talking about me, criticizing me, now that I'm not there?

They're jealous, that's what it is. They probably think I'm sleeping in, getting my nails done, watchingrepparttar 117633 soaps on company time. They say being alone too much can make you paranoid. But I'm not, really I'm not. Say... you haven't heard any rumors, have you?

Week five: The annual office party was last night. I found out about it this morning. Out of sight, out of mind, as they say. It's okay. I don't like steak and lobster and dancing anyway.

Week six: Telecommuting has its ups and downs, but it has convinced me to go it alone... to severrepparttar 117634 ties with bi-weekly paychecks, daily headaches and humiliations. It's given merepparttar 117635 hankering to start my own home-based business. And, yes, I am terrified. But likerepparttar 117636 book says - feelrepparttar 117637 fear and do it anyway.

However, first I have to findrepparttar 117638 guts to hand in this letter of resignation and do it with grace and class. Without recriminations or fear. Wish me luck.

Written by Michael Southon

Continued from page 1

In fact, people who succeed in any walk of life do so not because they discover a 'formula for success', but because they learn how to deal with failure.

Thomas Edison, when asked if he felt discouraged byrepparttar 1,073 failures he had before inventingrepparttar 117627 electric light bulb, replied "I did not fail 1,073 times, I found 1,073 ways not to do it"

Remember, there's no failing, just learning.
