Checking us in was an efficient and very pleasant lady named Jazmin.

Our room was ready and bellboy was standing by to take us there. After, that is, he finished laughing at mountain of luggage we carried. Writers, after all, never know when they might go from skydiving to scuba diving, beaches to ballrooms, and horses to helicopters, or catch a flight from Cozumel to Canada, and we were prepared for every contingency! The luggage even included dumbbells and a bicycle; my fellow writer was a fitness expert, so we brought plenty of paraphernalia to ensure maximum workouts. (I did wonder as we schlepped all this junk around town; who was dumbbell!)
