Counterfeit Love

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Continued from page 1

Some speak most eloquent words of love. Fewer show it in their lives. But, whatever they speak, actions speak even louder.

Surely, God must prefer to disassociate from situations wherein people misuse words that describe His character. And, wherever He isn't, it isn't love.

It is impossible to love until we (know God and) begin to love others as He loves us, because God is love and it's His Spirit that loves through us (1 John 4:8, 12b-13). Anything less is counterfeit.

Bless the Children

Written by Joyce C. Lock

"Children are an heritage ofrepparttar LORD. (They're not possessions, but a gift to raise for Him.) The fruit ofrepparttar 110586 womb is HIS reward," Ps. 27:3.

"Either makerepparttar 110587 tree good, and his fruit good; or else makerepparttar 110588 tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: forrepparttar 110589 tree is known by his fruit," Mt. 12:33. The relationship children have with parents will affect their relationship with God. For, however we perceive earthly parents is how we perceive God.

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity," Mt. 7: 21-23.

As is with everything, repparttar 110590 only way to parent perfectly is to ask God every time (letting Him be our parent). "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter intorepparttar 110591 kingdom of heaven; but he that doethrepparttar 110592 will of my Father which is in heaven. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock," Mt. 7:21, 24.

"If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship ofrepparttar 110593 Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, havingrepparttar 110594 same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also onrepparttar 110595 things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus," Ph. 2:1-5.

In every way God loves us, we're to love others in return and that includesrepparttar 110596 children; grace for grace, Jn. 1:16. It's our opportunity to give thanks.
