What I like to see in a request is not “hype” but rather a brief resumé of contents of book, who author is, if book is published by a main stream publisher or is it self-published, and if book is available on Amazon. Bookpleasures also conducts e-interviews with some authors, and if author is open to have himself or herself interviewed, please indicate.

If you are a publicist or publisher, don’t be afraid to put Bookpleasures as well as other book reviewing sites on your emailing list. You never know when something catches our eyes. Sometimes you may be publicizing a particular book, and our reviewers will look to your site and see something else that interests them.

As for time frame, this all depends on reviewer. Anywhere from one week to three months is norm. You can ask reviewer to give you some idea as to his or her time frame. You can also inquire as to his or her credentials. Bookpleasures does provide links to reviewers’ site that should give you some idea as to their experience.

What about gifting her a small, lovely puppy in a busket? 5. A stylish watch can be a good gift. 6. Any good looking show piece, may be for her home/office. 7. Don’t forget a huge bouquet of roses and a decent card.

These are very few ideas which just came into my mind. I guess there are lots and lots of things to give but be sure they don’t be personal enough. For example, you can avoid things like, 1. Perfumes/Deos. 2. Dress materials. 3. Accessories. 4. Cosmetics.

However, before busying something do a good research and find out something which will be best for your BOSS. It should be filled with respect, wrapped with care and glittered with admiration. Boss is BOSS after all!!
