This results in a decline of national income, which comes into UDC's in form of foreign remittances. As we all know, foreign remittance provide a breath to poor economies of UDC's. When these people came back home without job, it will further deteriorate situation and increase unemployment in domestic market. The inflow of workers who work in foreign countries increases population. Population increase leads to increase in aggregate demand of an economy, which ultimately results in inflation.

Due to oil crisis, agriculture sector of UDC's also suffers. The prices of oil-inputs used in agriculture sector increase, which increase cost of production and therefore, UDC‚s cannot compete DC's because of their cost ineffectiveness. Forceful invasion of DC's in matters of UDC's under doctrine of pre-emptive strike increases sense of insecurity among poor countries. As a result, huge amount of money is being transferred from social sector to defense budget in UDC's. The condition becomes more fearsome when these resources are raised from public in form of imposition of new taxes. UDC's invest huge amounts of foreign currency on imports of industrial commodities and producer's goods from DC's. These imports are inevitable for their economics growth. As prices of oil increase cost of production of industrial commodities and producer's goods in DC's will also increase. This will increase worries of UDC's. Western nations are oil-deprived nations and most of oil reserves are situated in Muslim countries. Therefore, any aggression by west against these Muslim countries will increase gap between Muslims and west. This will also increase anti Muslim and anti Islam thoughts among western nations and ethnic rivalries between these two distinct groups. After all points discussed above, a question arises in mind of reader, that why all Muslim countries of world don't stick together and fight against aggression of west. In my opinion, all countries of world have their own individual interests. Western countries are potential buyers of oil, which is situated in oil rich countries. If oil rich countries go against their potential oil buyer i.e. western industrial countries, this may result in lose of their potential buyers and enable industrial countries to find another oil market to fulfill their oil demand. Recent US-Russia oil agreement is an example of US policy change as far as oil buying is concerned. By supporting US, Islamic countries and their regimes want to get rid of extremist elements working at domestic and international level under guise of War Against Terrorism. The situation of democracy is very fragile in UDC's. Most of people in these countries came in to power because of inefficiencies in political system or because of military might. Regimes of these UDC's also support west because they want western countries to extend political and diplomatic support to these regimes. Recent example of Uzbek president Islam Karimov, Pakistani president Pervaz Musharraf and kingships of Saudi Arabia clearly explains why governments of these countries are willing to support US policies. Islamic countries are beset with various problems like terrorism, drugs, weapon proliferation, possibilities of nuclear theft smuggling activities and various multiethnic conflicts. These countries desperately need foreign assistance in many filed in order to cope with these problems. All above sited factors provide us reasons that why all Muslim countries don‚t get together. The upshot of above discussion is that oil lust of west may be able to gain some temporary benefits, but it has wiped off human, social and developmental progress of decades. Oil has become a bone of contention between oil seekers - west and oil producers. Only that country will win on political and physical ground, which possesses economic and social power. Only fittest will survive. Oil wealth of Muslim countries should be used for their economics and social prosperity. Muslim countries must forget about individual interest and must think about collective interests of Muslim Ummah because all Muslim countries have strong religious and social ties among them. Without unity, brotherhood, selfhood and economics development, competing against west is like asking for moon.
