Once you have several names selected, then you need to go to http://www.whois.net/ to see which of these names are not being used. After you have found a name, then you need to register it through your web host company.

Be sure not to use one ofrepparttar many free sites. You don't want your site to be www.YetAnotherFreeSite.com/Acme.com. This looks very unprofessional, is difficult to remember and does not instill people with confidence. You can have your site hosted on a web host for about $8 a month. So what kind of a message are you giving to a prospective client when they see that you can't afford this minimal fee? Would you trust someone to deliver a product you ordered, or with your credit card number, if they couldn't afford such a low month?

As you start to add pages to your site, you want to be sure to keep using short, descriptive names. If you have a links page, call it www.Acme.com/links.shtml, not www.Acme.com/InterestingPlacesToVisit.shtml. Besides being to long, does this go to a links page, a travel page or some other obscure place?

If you keep your website and link names simple and descriptive, visitors will be able to find you site onrepparttar 132633 Internet, and navigate your site easily. As always, think of your visitors first, and they will show their appreciation.

For either types of bio you can also include photographs of many things, such as:  Yourself  Your office or manufacturing facility  Key employees  Employee ofrepparttar month  And any other photographs that add a personality to your site

Besides knowing about you and your company you need to include contact information. Tell them every way that you are set up for contact, such as: e-mail, phone, Fax, mailing address and any other way people can contact you. Nothing makes me more nervous, or annoyed, than going to a site and not being able to contact someone with a question I have. This contact information can be put on a "Contact" page, but you should always include your e-mail address on every page so that it's easy for people to contact you. Making it easy for people to contact you will make them feel more at easy when dealing with you. Remember when people contact you to respond quickly and courteously.

The whole purpose of this is make you come through your site, so your visitors feel they are dealing with a real, caring person instead of some impersonal website. So put your personality into your website, and make it more human.
