Chasing Shadows! A DreamWritten by Arthur Zulu

"These are very things that cause hatred, oppression, frustration, injustice, mistrust, fear, and enmity, which make Inferno, our son, to terrorize you. But remove causes of all these cankerworms, and you will see that we will not exist anymore, and Inferno will not attack your lands. Then world will be like The Golden City. It is only then that you will have Love, Peace, Freedom, Justice, Equality, Dignity, and Trust. "That was what winged-man in white meant when he said to destroy us. The man speaks in parables. Now, you are chasing shadows—fighting effect instead of cause, symptom and not disease. Since you did not understand, or refused to understand meaning of message, and come shooting and bombing at us—the wrong targets—instead of solving world's problems, we are going to give you double trouble." Going on, Hatred tells kings of Orient and Occident to prepare for last war. Because they have caused more problems than solutions for themselves with their weapons. Because war is not road map for peace. And because man himself is problem, and not solution. Then bombshell! He says that kings should gather all their cinema, film, and moviemakers, and ask them to suggest apocalyptic scenarios. For world is going to end with worst case ever imagined. The world, he says, is now a more dangerous place than it was before Operation Hell Fire and search for weapons of mass destruction. Finally, Hatred, leader of seven devils, says that belligerent kings, Sunrise and Sunset, have sown wind in country of Devil, and must therefore reap Devil's whirlwind. After saying this, he disappears with other deadly spirits, laughing. . . .

Take another example. World War I has variously been described as "the total war," "a turning point in history," "the day world went mad," "the end of world." Writer Ernest Hemingway called it "the most colossal, murderous, mismanaged butchery that has ever taken place on earth." Yet, that did not prevent World War II and 55 million souls that went with it. Nor has it prevented more than 100 million lives that have died in over 150 wars since 1914. Nor did it prevent "madness" of Sarajevo in Bosnia, or "ethnic cleansing" in Burundi and Rwanda, or "new war" on terror. Nor has it prevented 12 wars that are going on around world this very day! So bottomline is that hanging of Saddham or Osama will never stop terrorism, nor will it make world a safer place. Another Saddham, another Osama, will rise tomorrow. The quest for "uhuru" or "kwacha," dawn, would turn out a dream, unless we address imbalances that precipitate terrorism, now. Otherwise we would wake up tomorrow and see UN building on fire. Or behold world in total darkness. Or begin to drop dead because of a mysterious plague, or worse, a nuclear bomb. (No thanks to terrorists.) "Where were you when world stopped turning?" is lyric of a song by a musician in remembrance of collapsed Twin Towers. Dancers took to dance floors, and song went to top music chart show. That was good. But by time terrorists actually prepare for show - down, there will be no musicians and dancers to celebrate world’s end. That would really be time when world would stop turning!
