18. If you lived in a "no pet" apartment or house, would you hide your pet from your landlord? Yes or no

19. When asked to help clean up is your answer - I did not make that mess or I did not leave that there? Yes or no

20. Is it difficult for you to clean up after someone other than yourself? Yes or no

If you answered yes to 4 or more of these question, you should probably try to find a place just for yourself.

* Who is responsible for repairs to apartment? If you move into an apartment complex, there are usually maintenance people to take care of all needed repairs. On other hand if you are renting from a private landlord, you may be responsible for part or all of repairs.

* Are late fees addressed in lease?

* Who is responsible for utilities?

* What happens if you cause damage to apartment?

If you want to make a change to lease, cross out clause in question. Then both you and landlord must initial change for it to be binding.
