What gall she had! What gumption! The thought of her being alive and well ruined everyone’s day! Is it her fault that CNN picked up story and ran it on an hourly basis? Is she only person to have taken off to Vegas a few days before getting married? A case can be made for Jennifer simply being a victim of this age of information. Yet it is because of this Age, that people can be found safely. Within hours of being reported missing, a white person can now rely on their picture being on national television, and authorities looking for them. If you were suspected if being kidnapped by a minority, then you get additional resources of FBI added to mix. Only one problem, Jennifer’s body wasn’t cold, she just had cold feet.

This is modern geek. They enjoy sports but only on their HI-Definition TV. They dominate in their basketball league but only after selecting perfect sneakers to maximize effectiveness of their go-to move. They are teenagers who setup parental controls for their mom and dad. They have parties to celebrate turning 5 years old and for gifts, ask for computer products by name.

The modern geek is everywhere and with each new generation and progression of science and technology, they are growing to be majority and will someday be commonplace.

As for me, I still keep a pair of tapped up glasses on my mantel for old time's sake.
