Be at Rest

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Many waters cannot quench love, neither canrepparttar floods drown it: if a man would give allrepparttar 147160 substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

The Lord thy God inrepparttar 147161 midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Who shall separate us fromrepparttar 147162 love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us fromrepparttar 147163 love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. For God hath not given usrepparttar 147164 spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Blessed isrepparttar 147165 man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receiverepparttar 147166 crown of life, whichrepparttar 147167 Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Knowing What You Believe

knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Mt. 7:7

Knowing this first, that no prophecy ofrepparttar scripture is of any private interpretation. Forrepparttar 147159 prophecy came not in old time byrepparttar 147160 will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved byrepparttar 147161 Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:20-21 Which things also we speak, not inrepparttar 147162 words which man's wisdom teacheth, but whichrepparttar 147163 Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Co. 2:13

Letrepparttar 147164 elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour inrepparttar 147165 word and doctrine. (And when Simon saw that through laying on ofrepparttar 147166 apostles' handsrepparttar 147167 Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Ac. 8:18) Forrepparttar 147168 scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzlerepparttar 147169 ox that treadeth outrepparttar 147170 corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 1 Tim. 5:17-18

And ye became followers of us, and ofrepparttar 147171 Lord, having receivedrepparttar 147172 word in much affliction, with joy ofrepparttar 147173 Holy Ghost. 1 Th. 1:6 And God, which knowethrepparttar 147174 hearts, bare them witness, giving themrepparttar 147175 Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us. Ac. 15:8 (God is still no respecter of persons. In allrepparttar 147176 ways He loved them, He loves us.) Wherefore, asrepparttar 147177 Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice. He. 3:7

Wherefore (asrepparttar 147178 Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as inrepparttar 147179 provocation, inrepparttar 147180 day of temptation inrepparttar 147181 wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing fromrepparttar 147182 living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened throughrepparttar 147183 deceitfulness of sin.

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we holdrepparttar 147184 beginning of our confidence stedfast untorepparttar 147185 end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as inrepparttar 147186 provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell inrepparttar 147187 wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

For unto us wasrepparttar 147188 gospel preached, as well as unto them: butrepparttar 147189 word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: althoughrepparttar 147190 works were finished fromrepparttar 147191 foundation ofrepparttar 147192 world. For he spake in a certain place ofrepparttar 147193 seventh day on this wise, And God did restrepparttar 147194 seventh day from all his works.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest torepparttar 147195 people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall afterrepparttar 147196 same example of unbelief. Forrepparttar 147197 word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even torepparttar 147198 dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and ofrepparttar 147199 joints and marrow, and is a discerner ofrepparttar 147200 thoughts and intents ofrepparttar 147201 heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened untorepparttar 147202 eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed intorepparttar 147203 heavens, Jesusrepparttar 147204 Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched withrepparttar 147205 feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly untorepparttar 147206 throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 3:7-4:16

For there are three that bear record in heaven, repparttar 147207 Father, repparttar 147208 Word, andrepparttar 147209 Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 Jn. 5:7
