The memo also said that a clandestine source stated in 1998 that a Bin Laden cell in New York was recruiting Muslim-American youth for attacks. It went on to say: We have not been able to corroborate some ofrepparttar more sensational threat reporting, such as Bin Laden saying in 1998 that he wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft to gainrepparttar 125988 release ofrepparttar 125989 "Blind Shaykh" 'Umar'Abd al-Rahman and other U.S. held extremists. Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.

The memo ended stating thatrepparttar 125990 FBI was conducting 70 Bin Laden related field investigations inrepparttar 125991 U.S. and thatrepparttar 125992 CIA andrepparttar 125993 FBI were investigating a report of a call torepparttar 125994 embassy inrepparttar 125995 UAE in May stating that a group of Bin Laden supporters were inrepparttar 125996 U.S. planning attacks with explosives.

It certainly seems to me that Dr. Rice hitrepparttar 125997 nail right onrepparttar 125998 head when she stated in her opening statement, that allrepparttar 125999 intelligence beforerepparttar 126000 9/11 attacks was "not specific as to time, nor place, nor manner of attack." Anyone who really wants to find outrepparttar 126001 truth can see that this memo was full of old information, thatrepparttar 126002 last paragraph ofrepparttar 126003 memo, repparttar 126004 only part ofrepparttar 126005 memo that dealt withrepparttar 126006 current information atrepparttar 126007 time was ambiguous at best.

The fact thatrepparttar 126008 FBI andrepparttar 126009 CIA were conducting investigations into possible Al-Qaeda inrepparttar 126010 United States planning attacks shows that steps were being taken on those suspicions and that any logical person readingrepparttar 126011 memo would conclude thatrepparttar 126012 proper action would be taken by these agencies if it were warranted.

What it does not show is that we knew that aircraft were going to be used in attacks against United States citizens, or thatrepparttar 126013 President was briefed on such information, becauserepparttar 126014 simple truth and fact ofrepparttar 126015 matter is ladies and gentlemen, repparttar 126016 memo did not state that and he wasn't briefed as such.

This so called smoking gun has turned out to be nothing more than a leaky water pistol, it hasn't done any damage, it's running out of ammo, and it's all wet.

of financial support for “individual” candidates, why not place these monetary contributions into a special fund and allocate an “equal amount of money” to each candidate … to be used for promotional purposes. This would give “all” candidates an equal opportunity to win. Some type of regulation would need to be implemented to prevent individuals and companies from doing their own promotions for their favorite candidate. This should encourage more highly-qualified people to run for office and it would minimizerepparttar amount of favoritism they owe to those who provided financial support. If you like this suggestion, spreadrepparttar 125987 word by asking others to read this article … if enough people show support for it, it can become a reality. Wouldn’t you rather have someone represent you who shares a comparable lifestyle and who can more fully understand and appreciate your needs and concerns? I certainly would!
