If your fish seem like they are gasping for air, this could be simply due to lack of oxygen in water and not necessarily a disease. You could add an airstone to see if that helps problem. Make sure you do not overcrowd tank with too many fish.

If you see your fish scraping itself agains bottom of tank or decorations, it’s possible that he has a parasite called Flukes. These attack gills and skin and are rather difficult to get rid of once your tank is infected. Again, poor water quality will make this much worse. They do sell medication for tank and you may be able to clear it up if you treat tank at first sign of trouble.

Rotting fins are sometimes seen if fish is under stress and also if water quality is substandard. It is a bacteria that is attacking fins and you must treat tank at first sign of this problem. If possible, isolate affected fish to another tank to prevent bacteria from spreading.

To insure that you always have healthy fish, you should keep tank clean and religiously perform partial water changes. This will not only keep your fish happy but will make for a better looking tank as well!

These are usually found in major metropolitan areas around country. Your local Humane Society can often refer you to purebred dog rescue groups, as can their national organization, The Humane Society of United States. Try looking in your local paper for dog rescue groups, or on internet.

When you find your Scottish Terrier rescue organization, expect to go through an application process before you can get a dog. There may be adoption fees for your terrier, and most organizations will expect you to immediately spay or neuter dog if it has not already been. Some breed representatives have waiting lists, but if you are patient, there should be a Scottish Terrier for you to rescue.
