Besides Wordtracker gives you some additional possibilities for choosing key words, that weren't mentioned before but are in reality very appropriate. Be sure that you alternate, combine words, selected up to moment. Much more appropriate words could appear, too.

Never count on orphaned key words!

Two or more words combination is a much better variant than an orphaned word. The orphaned word is more common, while phrase much more specifies search purpose. Let's suppose that you are a manufacturer of solid wood furnishings and take these two examples of key words.

The first word is orphaned, so it is very common. When a user searches some information by it, search engine will sort all sites where word is contained, without anything precise. There are maybe lots of sites. Besides people using this word during their search are not from your target audience. They are not among users that could buy your products, they are not interested in your products and services.

By using next phrase user is aware of what exactly he is looking for and defines, limits search to some definite kind of furnishings (solid wood furnishings in that case) and relevant search engine sorts better, more precise results. The possibility your products to be bought in that case is bigger than in previous one, maybe because user needs these furnishings as he/she searches that way.

• That's why always add to a key word, corresponding to business like yours, some additional, specific only for your business words to define and to specify process.

Tell your repeat visitors about Alexa's toolbar and fact that it will now block pop-ups.

I even saw one site link to their download page as a freebie. And why not? It benefits you both. Your visitors can selectively eliminate pop-ups, and you get another Alexa user visiting your site, thus increasing your ranking. Guess what else?

Hard Evidence

You can use data as supporting evidence during a time period when you're testing an affiliate product that would affect your traffic. Hard evidence = More sales.

Stay In The Loop

Keep up to date on Alexa's top global 500. Often these sites correlate closely to top 500 Google sites- and you could luck out and find a rapidly rising site that will link back to you. It's also a good measure of upcoming trends you can arrange for your site to capitalize on. The top 500 Global Sites are available on Alexa.com's homepage.

Say Thank You.

Thank fellow webmasters for their assistance by doing reviews of their site at Alexa. Then next time you have cause to email them, mention review and give permission for them to use it as a testimonial. This works nicely as an ice breaker for a join venture, and is also a good way to show that your flattery is sincere, and not just of smoke-blowing, scratch-my-back-and-I'll-scratch-yours variety so many are used to online.
