It's quite possible that I needed this night just as much as she did. Lately, I've felt every bit as old as each new gray hair that emerges on my head. My energy is zapped, and I can't seem to remember how to have fun. But I had fun that night! My daughter's happiness and excitement overflowed right onto me, and her youthfulness found it's way into my soul. She helped me find my way back torepparttar part of me that had been trapped inside for so long.

Of course, I have to give credit torepparttar 111631 boys of 'NSync, also. Their energy and excitement, their humor, repparttar 111632 lively music and neat dance routines... I enjoyedrepparttar 111633 show itself almost as much as I enjoyed my daughter's delight in it!

We were both lost that night, but it was perfectly alright, because we were lost together. And together, we found our way back to reality whenrepparttar 111634 lights went out andrepparttar 111635 crowds went home.

Together, I hope to take many more trips to that magical place that we shared that evening. As parents, not only do we need to berepparttar 111636 responsible adults, but it is also important to hang on to our youthfulness, and enjoy it with our children while they are still young.

I seerepparttar cycle continuing. Right now, I am teaching him to handlerepparttar 111630 changes he'll encounter as he matures and faces "grown-up" responsibilities. I thinkrepparttar 111631 next lesson will be mine, as he teaches me to let go a little and give him freedom to make his own mistakes and learn from them, or to be proud of decisions that he's made completely on his own. And together we will experience new adventures, as we read books, watch movies, take trips, and simply spend time enjoying each other's company.

A decade sounds like such a long time. But it seems as if it was just a few short moments ago when he was learning how to ride a bike without training wheels. And I know I need to savor every moment in our future, because sooner than I can imagine, he'll be back on four wheels as he learns how to drive his first car.
