A Way to Escape

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Continued from page 1

Satan couldn't tempt us if there wasn't some small, secret, part in us that wantedrepparttar temptation. The same advice we give our children works for us. Just say, "No."

When we come torepparttar 129131 place we no longer wantrepparttar 129132 temptation, we don't want that path, we know it will hurt us, and we wishrepparttar 129133 temptation to forever go away ... then God says, "Your wish is my command," or words of like meaning.

Instead of asking God to help "us" with our temptation (works - II Ti. 1:9), we can ask Him to forever remove it. Committing it to God makes Himrepparttar 129134 Divine Keeper (II Ti. 1:12, I Pe. 4:19). What God does is a done deal and that's a load off our backs!

He made a way to escape, I Co. 10:13. Now, that's Good News!

Consequences

There are consequences for running out intorepparttar street! And,repparttar 129128 parent is way beyond distraught even beforerepparttar 129129 accident occurs, because they have a glimpse intorepparttar 129130 future. Imagine how God must, sometimes, feel watching His children runrepparttar 129131 wrong direction. Whenrepparttar 129132 consequences come and we didn't heed God's warning, God didn’t do it to us. Think about it. If our parents wouldn’t smack us with a moving vehicle because we didn’t obey, if you wouldn’t run over your child as punishment for not listening … we were made inrepparttar 129133 image of God and He loves us so much more. The truth is, when consequences come, there is no one else to blame. We would have done it to ourselves.
