A Lesson Learned through the Eyes of a Child

Personally, and most probably, I'm at least an entry-level workaholic with enough Virgo perfectionism to allow my thinking to stray off course at times. My stress level rises, my thinking patterns disintegrate and I become unfocused. Suddenly, my forward motion is slowed, halted or even reversed.

I was in such a tailspin whenrepparttar call came from my daughter that something was terribly wrong with Corbin. Of course, business just didn't matter at that point, but it was through this trauma and "in" someone who has been on this planet more than 90 times less than me, and who knew no different than to "just do it!", that I found my way again.

Corbin was released fromrepparttar 121636 hospital after his ten day fight, better than new and allrepparttar 121637 stronger in both body and soul.

Look, I'm not a preachy person (most ofrepparttar 121638 time anyway), but every now and then we all need a wake up call to remind us ofrepparttar 121639 very simple laws that propel our universe. And I received mine so close to home and in a circumstance that had alsolutely nothing to do withrepparttar 121640 entrepreneurial spirit, but everything to do withrepparttar 121641 human spirit.

I learned my lesson throughrepparttar 121642 eyes of a child.

Branding Concepts

Recently, I decided that I was going to changerepparttar colour schemes on my site due torepparttar 121635 research that I had carried out onrepparttar 121636 psychology of colour. Many articles I had studied suggested that black was not really appropriate for a site about web design. After discussingrepparttar 121637 plans with a few regular visitors, I was surprised byrepparttar 121638 response. The feedback was for me not to changerepparttar 121639 colour in any way. Even those people who did not feel that black was appropriate consideringrepparttar 121640 nature of site did not want me to change it. They were "used" to it. It was a constant onrepparttar 121641 site, repparttar 121642 same asrepparttar 121643 logo placement and general navigation structure. So it is all staying. My plans were to makerepparttar 121644 site look more in tune with other very successful web presences that focus on web design. What was I thinking!?!?!?

Branding is not only about constants, but individuality..........

If some one told you that they were going to establish a hamburger franchise andrepparttar 121645 logo colour scheme would be red and yellow, you would probably think they were insane. Red tends to signify danger and yellow is purported to berepparttar 121646 most annoying colour of all. But try telling McDonalds that.....

But having stated that, if you are just inrepparttar 121647 planning stages your site, I suggest that you do be careful in your choice of navigation, logos and colour schemes. If your site is established with a good traffic flow and you are considering revamping it, it is ofrepparttar 121648 utmost importance that you consult your visitors first via some sort of survey before any radical changes are made. Otherwiserepparttar 121649 many hours of hard work that you put intorepparttar 121650 upgrade, as well asrepparttar 121651 hours invested in developingrepparttar 121652 original theme, may be lost.

.... along with your traffic.
