So…how do we know if our note knowledge is good enough? Here's a great way of finding out…

Note Knowledge Test:

Step 1: Please turn on your metronome and set it to 120 beats-per-minute.

Step 2: Decide on a note that you will work on.

Step 3: Find that note onrepparttar thickest string in all possible locations. (One note location per click ofrepparttar 116032 metronome).

Step 4: Without pausing, repeatrepparttar 116033 process on allrepparttar 116034 other strings.

Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 for allrepparttar 116035 other notes.

How did you go? Did you find it hard or easy?

If you couldn't do it easily, then you have some work to do. I would recommend setting aside 10 minutes a day to work on memorizingrepparttar 116036 notes ofrepparttar 116037 fretboard. Within a few short weeks, you should have it nailed. Good luck!

5) Still at high throttle, performrepparttar pinch test. Briefly pinch then releaserepparttar 116031 fuel tube going intorepparttar 116032 carb. Ifrepparttar 116033 engine momentarily speeds up, then slows back down, you're done. Ifrepparttar 116034 engine does not speed up, or quits, then it is too lean; richenrepparttar 116035 needle some more.

6) Now throttle back to idle; letrepparttar 116036 engine idle for a couple minutes.

7) Now perform another pinch test. This time pinch and holdrepparttar 116037 line. The engine will want to speed up and die. If it speeds up immediately, it's too lean, richenrepparttar 116038 low speed needle. It should take 4-6 seconds to speed up and begin to die. Any longer and it's too rich.

8) Also checkrepparttar 116039 throttle transition. Withrepparttar 116040 aircraft secured and engine idling for a couple minutes, advancerepparttar 116041 throttle quickly to fully open. Ifrepparttar 116042 engine hesitates,repparttar 116043 low speed mixture is too rich.
