99.6% of 'GET RICH' Programs are SCAMS. Do you know the Signs?Written by Eddie Pennington

3. Chain Letters Chain Letters, Electronic or Otherwise, are not legal. First of all, we want to point out that no matter what scam artist tells you in letter, these little schemes ARE NOT LEGAL, and people HAVE done jail time over them. For example, Dave Rhodes spent a number of years in a Federal Prison (and may still be there for all I know) for his starting of this whole scheme electronically back in days of Bulletin Board Services instead of internet. Whether disguised as a "mailing list," selling recipes," a "free loan," "selling reports," a "gifting club," "lottery ticket club," or any of a hundred other thin veils, they are still chain letters, and still illegal. 4. Mass Emailing For example, many companies that promote bulk email will tell you that sending out bulk email is road to riches. It isn't’t. And, if that stock really was such a good deal, why is this person sending you — and millions of other people — this “secret” tip? 5. "I Can show you how to make $36,000 in only 5 days!" This is quite possibly most popular scam floating around internet. How does this person know for a fact that YOU, a person he's never met, can make all that money in just 5 days?! For all he knows, person on other end is slightly brain damaged..or lazy even. The point is- never believe anyone who puts a set dollar amount without knowing anything about person buying his 'program.' Individual results will always vary from person to person. The sad truth is that online businesses CAN NOT be operated by just anyone with a PC and internet connection. It takes alot of work to earn a living off internet, but that's why it feels so amazing when money starts to roll in. 7. Open a Conference Blog. Through a service such as TypePad, you can develop an online journal or diary for sharing your experiences during conference with public at large. This is a wonderful way to let other professionals and your readers know that you are devoted to continuing education and professional improvement. 8. Gift an Article, Abstract, or Special Report. Prior to conference, take time to write an article of interest, abstract, or special report which is relevant to your industry. As you meet people and exchange business cards, request permission to send article or report following conference and then FOLLOW UP! Add a personal note of thanks, and use this opportunity to build rapport with others. This one gesture can support you in growing your database and in developing rock solid relationships for future of your business. 9. Schedule Time Each Day to Organize Your Thoughts. Attending speaker sessions, networking, and being on all day can be exhausting and can create a feeling of mental clutter. Spend 30 minutes at end of each day to absory what you have learned, organize your thoughts in a notebook, and to prepare for next day. Make a punch list of sessions to attend, people to meet, and vendors to visit, and hit ground running next day to really go for it! 10. Work Vendor Floor The majority of conferences will host an exposition or vendor fair, which allows companies opportunity to display their latest product and service offerings. You may choose to host a vendor booth or to split booth with other vendors who compliment your services. If you are unable to host a booth, make most of vendor fair by “working it” (networking, connecting, and having your eyes and ears open.) This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about current trends in your industry and to create contacts with others who are connected to your field. Spend time talking with as many vendors as possible, and connect, connect, connect.
