5. Buy "cheap" brands Most time cheap brand is just as good as name brand, minus fancy lable of course. If you are buying cheap brand for an ingredient in a home cooked meal, I doubt you or your family can tell difference. 6. Reusing SOS pads A very small cost, but a way to cut it all same. Instead of just using that SOS pad once and throwing it away, use it several times. Be sure to put it back in box with rest of unused pads so that it keeps. 7. Limit shopping to once a week We all know importance of shopping lists, so be sure that you have everything on your list. This includes all ingredients that you need for meals in that week. Limiting your shopping trips will help not only on costs for gas, but also on impulse buying costs. 4. Double up on baths If you have two or more children, throw them all in tub at same time. Do it while they are little because you can't do this later. The kids will enjoy being able to splash in tub together, and it will save you time as well. 5. Buy second hand clothes No sence in buying hundreds of dollars in new clothes when they grow out of them so fast. Have a few sets of nice, new clothes, but buy majority of them from second hand stores or garage sales. When they grow out of them, you can hold a garage sale yourself or donate them back to second hand store. 6. Breast feed, if possible Formula is expensive! It's amazing what a newborn can eat, so if possible, alway breastfeed them for first several months. Not only is it free, but you are also getting your child off to a wonderful start. These are just a few ideas that you can use to cut costs. Take some of that money that you will save over year and do something special with kids!
