Written by Gordon Bryan

Who isrepparttar happiest person you know? Notrepparttar 130719 happiest person you know *of*, butrepparttar 130720 happiest person you actually *know*?

Maybe someone you work with…? Maybe a friend…? Maybe a member of your family…? Mayberepparttar 130721 hot dog seller onrepparttar 130722 corner…?

Do they enjoy what they do? Now, obviously I can’t know who you’re thinking of, but I *can* tell you whether or not they enjoy what they do. (Ok, here’s a clue, repparttar 130723 answer begins with ‘Y’ and ends with ‘es’).

YES!

They enjoy what they do, they do it for a reason, it is either on a path Towards a goal, or it wasrepparttar 130724 goal they worked hard for it.

Mayberepparttar 130725 hot dog seller used to be a high flyer inrepparttar 130726 world of finance, but could no longer stomachrepparttar 130727 stress andrepparttar 130728 power politics. Maybe now he’s his own boss, and instead of spending every weekend flapping over computer reports, he spends them fishing inrepparttar 130729 country.

They enjoyrepparttar 130730 present and plan for tomorrow.

You could pay me a hundred grand to write a newsletter about widgets, but I wouldn’t enjoy it. I’d get stressed, maybe even an ulcer, who knows? Leave it torepparttar 130731 widget lovers.

The First 11 Days are the Hardest

Written by Nancy R. Fenn

There’s so much to discover in a Mercury Retrograde cycle. We astrologers are happy everyone is catching on, but there’s more to it thanrepparttar usual mess up with computers, electrical appliances, cars, mail and phone messages. Especially now that we’re relying more on email, cell phones andrepparttar 130718 internet, Mercury becomes more important. After all, it wasrepparttar 130719 Uranus in Gemini generation that brought us these fun new toys and Gemini is a Mercury ruled planet.

You know Mercury goes retrograde three times a year but how can you tell when? If you don’t have a personal relationship with an astrologer, buy a calendar from Llewellyn calledrepparttar 130720 “2004 Daily Planetary Guide” (2005, 2006, etc.) It has allrepparttar 130721 key astrological information in a handy spiral bound desktop calendar that you can also use for notes and appointments. It costs $9.95.

The “Daily Planetary Guide” gives yourepparttar 130722 information you need in plain English. This little calendar is also a great way to learn more about astrology because it has good notes on moon cycles andrepparttar 130723 other retrograde planets as well.

Here’s a typical retrograde experience. I was out atrepparttar 130724 golf club duringrepparttar 130725 last retrograde having breakfast next to some really nice guys. They were talking aboutrepparttar 130726 usual when I heard one of them say, “Whatever happened to that girl you met at xxx?” The other guy replied, “When I had that climbing accident and dropped my cell phone, I lost allrepparttar 130727 stuff that was stored in it. I figured she’d call me but she never did.”

I couldn’t help but think of allrepparttar 130728 girls who come to me for readings wondering whether someone is going to call them but this is a typical Mercury retrograde experience.

Somewhere off torepparttar 130729 side, repparttar 130730 god of communication stood chuckling as this poor fellow basically got to review his whole life. What kind of phone do you get now? Did you use allrepparttar 130731 features onrepparttar 130732 other one or could you do without? Who were halfrepparttar 130733 people on there anyway? How many phone numbers do you really need? How are you going to explain this to your buddies? Are you going to back up your phone records this time? Why did you take it with you anyway … isn’trepparttar 130734 whole idea of climbing to get away fromrepparttar 130735 phone? And furthermore, she’s notrepparttar 130736 only girl inrepparttar 130737 world!

Mercury Guy is pretty chatty. Pretty curious. And pretty out of control during retrogrades.

The first 11 days ofrepparttar 130738 retrograde cycle arerepparttar 130739 hardest. This is why. If we go without sleep for a few days (!),repparttar 130740 unconscious and conscious minds begin to overlap or bleed into one another, causing hallucinations or confusion about what’s real and not real. The dream world begins to invaderepparttar 130741 waking world. This shows usrepparttar 130742 difference betweenrepparttar 130743 two ways we can process information. Dreams have wisdom and guidance but their language is very different fromrepparttar 130744 everyday.

When Mercury is direct (the opposite of retrograde), as it is 80 percent ofrepparttar 130745 time, repparttar 130746 conscious mind is clearly in control. We think and process information in a practical way that we’ve adapted to fit our needs. Usually this results in a narrow focus. To reach goals, stay in relationships and get along with everybody, we actually tune out a lot of information that doesn’t fitrepparttar 130747 scheme of things.
